Asociacija, matydama pusnyse paskendusį miestą, Vasario 15 d. 12 val. ragina miestiečius išeiti į kiemus, gatves, aikštes, skverus ir kastuvų pagalba sumažinti sniego pusnis. Kviečiame miesto merą ir visą savivaldybės administraciją, politines partijas, įmones, mokyklų bendruomenes susijungti bendrai akcijai. Atvirai netikiu, kad ateis kasti sniegą, ne kalbas sakyti. Pagrindinė šios idėjos esmė – bendruomeniškumo skatinimas. Porą valandų savo miestui tikrai galime skirti. Galiausia, ir kaimynus labiau pažinsime.
O kaip prasideda bendruomenės formavimasis? Gal nuo bendrų darbų? Seniau gyvendami kartu žmonės bendrai turėdavo spręsti daug daugiau dalykų, dabar, atsiradus telekomunikacijoms, internetui, taksi, nebereikia kaimyno. Pamiršai druskos ar degtukų nusipirkti, parduotuvės veikia ištisą parą, jeigu pinigėlių daugiau turi kaimynas, tai maistą ir į namus atveža. Nebėra poreikio pažinti kaimyną. Bet bendruomenė, norėdama geriau gyventi savo mieste ,visgi privalo tarpusavyje bendrauti ir rūpintis savo aplinka. Aplinka plačiąja prasme. Panagrinėkime paskutiniuoju metu vis išlendančias problemas su bendrijų pirmininkais. Kaimynas su kaimynu nebendraudamas, bendrijos pirmininko nekontroliuodamas, užsiaugino gana įdomius valdytojus. Niekam neatsiskaito, net paprašyti parodyti dokumentus, nenori jų duoti.
Turime daugiau domėtis ne tik savo buto vidumi, turime rūpintis ir laiptine, kiemu, vaikų žaidimo aikštele, automobilio stovėjimo vieta, šiukšlių tarifais ir jų saugojimo vietomis. Reikia būti aktyvesniems arba už jus kontroliuos kiti. O tai jau gali būti nevisai sąžiningi žmonės. Tačiau jeigu buvote pasyvus, visa kaltė ir teks jums (laiku neklausėte, nekontroliavote, tai ir vogė prie lovio priėję piliečiai).
Dalyvavimo ir aktyvumo reikia visur, taigi drąsiai galite prisijungti prie asociacijos organizuojamo sniego valymo. Panašu, kad viso sniego nenukasime ir neišvešime, bet mes pabandysime. Akivaizdu, jog ta mūsų grupelė nenuveiks visų miesto reikalų, bet mes pabandysime. Pabandysime pakeisti daug ką iš esmės….tik reikia, kad bendruomenės pilietis būtų aktyvus.
